SAPID works to improve health awareness and access to
essential health support among marginalized communities
in tribal villages and slums. Through health education,
medical support, referrals and community-level health
activities, SAPID responds to important health needs
identified within the communities it serves.
SAPID has supported eye-care needs through Lions eye
hospitals, provided spectacles to people in need and
conducted general health camps in tribal villages and
slum communities. These efforts help bring basic health
support and awareness closer to communities.
Community-level preparedness is also strengthened by
training ASHA workers and women leaders in First Aid and
CPR. Alongside this, essential medical aid including ORS
is provided for common health needs that can be managed
without a doctor's consultation, while awareness
campaigns address seasonal diseases and key health days.
Health Education & Community Support
SAPID promotes health education and awareness among marginalized
communities through grassroots activities designed to address
common health needs. Health education, medical support and
referrals form an important part of SAPID's work with communities
in tribal villages and slums.
Through general health camps, eye-care support and essential
medical assistance, SAPID helps communities access support for
identified health needs. SAPID has facilitated 133 eye surgeries
through Lions eye hospitals and supplied spectacles to 452
people in need.
SAPID also strengthens community-level preparedness by training
ASHA workers and women leaders in First Aid and CPR. Awareness
campaigns on seasonal diseases and observance of key health days
further support health awareness and encourage communities to
pay greater attention to preventive health practices.

foundations among marginalized communities.
